2016 was the ninth West Bristol Arts Trail. It was originally founded, in response to popular local demand, by Anna Wilson, Fiona Willis, Deb Pearson and Julia Killingback with the help of a few local fellow artists. The first trail was project-managed by Anna Wilson as part of her role as Community Development Administrator for HCCA (Hotwells and Clifton Wood Community Association) who financially supported the setting up of the trail. To sustain the trail and embed it into the community calendar the original team ran the trail the following year joined by artist and designer Kate Edmunds and an increasing number of volunteers.
After two years, Anna handed over to a new group, most of whom form the core of the current committee
