Stephanie Gay paints colourful and arresting yet delicate images of British Landscapes, Flora and Fauna on Chinese silk. Her inspiration primarily comes from the beauty of the natural world and she enjoys experimenting with scale and context, attempting to create works that communicate energy, enthusiasm and a sense of fun to the viewer.

Born and brought up in Somerset but having lived in Berkshire for almost 30 years, in 2019 she moved to Portishead with her husband Andrew and miniature poodle Frankie. In 2017 she won the Berkshire and Buckinghamshire Life Landscape Painter of the Year and in 2022 she won the Polodango ‘Clevedon Artist of the Year’ competition with her painting ‘The Spirit of Clevedon’

This year she exhibited at Bristol’s Square Club alongside fellow artist Chi-Yien Snow with their collaborative exhibition ‘LUSH’ celebrating the beauty of the Bristol Botanic Garden.
