Dawn teaches an eclectic range of styles, subjects, and media, and she relishes in the flexibility that this gives her as an artist. – “I try and communicate atmosphere and mood in my work. I enjoy exploring textures and mark-making look for the ‘essence’ of my subject whether it be a portrait, landscape, still life – And oh it’s elusive! Working on different themes and approaches is fascinating; there is always something new to learn as I play with interesting ideas and approaches.”

 

 

I’m currently enjoying portraits (Loving!) – I want to escalate the immediacy of the phone photograph to a formal art image- capturing expression; moments in time, humour, love, despair – with so many more to come!
