A self-taught ‘pandemic artist’ and occasional poet, I first painted on 12th May 2020 inspired by my creative partner, daughter and Grayson Perry’s Art Club.
My first portrait was a self-portrait “Lockdown 1”, a rather 
grumpy affair. Since then I have been developing my style, having fun and experimenting.
All my work has been created in my new home studio under the shadow of COVID. In this challenging of times, painting has 
provided me with a new and unexpected passion for, and interest in, the faces and the places around me.
