Sally has been practising ceramics for a number of years. She likes working in three dimensions and using the plastic qualities in clay – an adult version of making mud pies.

For the last few years she has mainly worked on the wheel and enjoys the feeling of a pot growing under her hands, changing shape as pressure is applied to the clay.

She is interested in form, in creating pots with a satisfying shape and in using glazes and slips for colour and decoration. She also enjoys making things that are not purely decorative but have a function. She likes to make pots than can be useful in everyday life.
