Ollie is an illustrator who uses both digital and traditional in his artwork.
An avid illustrator and painter as a child, Ollie studied Illustration at University College Falmouth and later trained as a scenic painter at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. He spent the following two years doing scenic work for the Royal Opera House and the National Theatre, whilst also freelancing for other theatres, TV and film.
After years living out of a suitcase, Ollie decided to put down roots again and signed up for a Graphic Design course at Manchester’s Shillington College. He then learned the ropes as a graphic designer at various agencies, creating websites for top universities and other organisations. As he grew more confident with online design, he found himself pouring more of his past illustrator self into his work, combining traditional painting methods with the Adobe Creative suite, Procreate and other platforms.
Today Ollie is hoping to take that mix of old and new with him as he opens a new chapter, and strives to become a freelance illustrator and designer. His work draws from themes and obsessions including the natural world, climate change, Celtic myths, travel, literature and music.
