It is no surprise that I draw inspiration from the colors of Bristol and its eclectic style. I use the canvas as a way of finding my inner balance and of letting go of the outside world. Most of the time, I do not start working on a painting with a fixed idea in mind, I let the colors, the tools, and the textures they create on the canvas to drive me towards the final composition.
There is one quote that captures the way I paint, attributed to the Greek philosopher Heraclitus: “Everything flows and nothing abides, everything gives way and nothing stays fixed.”
