I studied Fine Art at Bower Ashton and love to paint and draw. However, since completing my degree in 2005, I have embraced and re-discovered a love of design and craft. I have studied for further certificates in corsetry, lingerie and millinery.
My inspiration comes from the beautiful countryside around us and my experiences in childhood. From very young I spent most of my time outside ? climbing trees in my great grandmother?s orchard, hiking up hills and rolling down again, traversing deserts in deadly heat, swimming with sharks, paddling in streams ? an exciting and fantastical time! I endeavour to spend as much time as possible as an adult lost in the wilderness gathering ideas. The mountains, hills, deserts, lakes and forests have played a major role in my life and now my work.
For the past year I have worked as a professional seamstress for an independent designer, specialising in lingerie while pursuing my own work in my spare time. I also run a busy bustling Pub, Theatre, and Art Space in Clifton – The Alma Tavern & Theatre.
There is, as they say, no rest for the wicked!
