Susie has painted all her life, studying Fine Art at University College Falmouth and also with Master Pastellist Ken Paine and at the St Ives School of Painting.
Much of her work features the human figure.? Her paintings may be drawn directly from life or based on collages, where she loves to create fantasy ?moments? by placing incongruous images side by side.
She has exhibited in London, Gloucestershire and Cornwall, showing her work alongside works by Picasso at the Visiting Picasso exhibition at Falmouth Art Gallery.? She has also illustrated stories for CBeebies Words and Pictures.
After a long career with the BBC and Channel 4 as a director-writer-producer, she developed and facilitated creativity workshops for adults. She is also a writer and her first novel, The Making of Her ? about television, cosmetic surgery and transformation – was published in 2012 by Linen Press Books. ?She will be selling signed copies at Open Studios 2016.?
