Sarah’s training was in fine art, predominantly life drawing, yet most of her current work is functional ceramics like oven bowls, mugs and vases. She enjoys throwing forms on the wheel and takes enormous pleasure in using them day to day.
Her most popular items on sale are the stackable sets of oven bowl which are made from stoneware clay and glazed in a range of colours. She also throws and hand builds with earthenware clay.
Sarah has a first class honours degree (with special merit), a masters degree, is a qualified teacher with 10 years of experience (8 of which as head of department) and is a practising exam moderator.
She also runs a mobile pottery studio, Pottery on Wheels, which travels to people homes, gardens, work places, cafes and festival to teach people how to make pottery at parties, team building events or just for fun.
