Many moons ago while attending some uninspiring pottery classes I must have bitten by the clay bug, one thing led to another and a studio was built at the end of the garden. Much time is spent holed up there designing and making pots.
I embarked on a mission to replace people’s characterless mass-produced ceramic ware with beautiful and functional hand made pottery …if it lives in the kitchen and has to do with serving/food I can make it. Several cafés have picked up on the hand made aspect and currently use my cups/bowls.
Recently my protégé graduated from an endless routine on the potter’s wheel (wanted to become a production thrower) and returned to her profession, leaving space for a new student. Contact me for details of tuition.
