Laura Cramer lives and works in Bristol as a full time painter.
Her commissions are varied. From producing visual artwork to accompany musical performances at St George?s Concert hall, to painting ?Bradisson?, one of the Bristol Zoo?s ?Wow!Gorillas ?, that decorated the city centre during the summer months of 2011. This year, Laura has been commissioned by Aardman Animations to paint two Gromit sculptures as part of the ?Gromit Unleashed? charity project that will raise essential funds for the Bristol Children?s Hospital.
Laura studied painting in Moscow in the early 1990’s where she had the good fortune to work with three prominent Russian artists: Evegeny Lanceray, Yuri Konenyenko and Yuri Koval.
Yuri Koval, who was a painter and author, told her to “paint what you see… and a little bit more.” These words encouraged and fostered the artistic freedom and inspiration that she finds in the abstract subjects that she loves creating. Greeting card reproductions of Laura?s work can be purchased at the Bristol Guild, the SS Great Britain gift shop, and the M Shed, among other local outlets. Limited edition prints of many of her
originals are available to buy on line through her website.
Commissions are welcome however large or small. For further information on Laura?s work, her commissions, or to contact her directly, please visit: www.cramerpaintings.com
