?I?m an Icelandic photographer living here in Bristol, UK. I have been fascinated with light and creating atmosphere in my environment since I remember. I got my masters of photography in San Francisco, California where I lived for many years and there I developed my fascination with shooting through glass.
Being Icelandic I grew up in an environment that is very connected to nature. This connection has made me love equally the large and dramatic as well as the beauty of the simple and small.
The work that I will be showing is a part of a series of photographs shot through windows of old vacant buildings in Marine Headlands just outside San Francisco in California.
The images are shot through a window making it possible to capture two directions at the same time, capturing both the inside and the outside. This series was a part of my masters thesis for my final at the Academy. It has been shown and represented in Hay Hill Gallery, Cork Street in London and a part of this series was shown at the Royal Academy summer exhibition.
My work has also appeared or been featured in:
The Sunday Times, New York Times, The Guardian, Financial Times, The Telegraph, Conde Nast Traveller, The San Francisco Magazine, House and Garden Magazine, Remodelista.com, Apartmenttherapy among others.
