Working in mainly Acrylics, Ed specialises in atmospheric, minimalist images, often depicting scenes around the harbour side area of Bristol.
The iconic red brick Victorian bond warehouses offer a wealth of inspiration when seen in the ever changing light and weather conditions at different times of the day.
Areas around the West Country have also provided inspiration, from the farms and cottages of South Gloucestershire to the ancient earthworks of Silbury Hill and Avebury in Wiltshire.
Having always lived in the Bristol area, Ed moved into the city to the harbourside area fifteen years ago.
Following a background of involvement with graphics in the art department of a major Bristol print company, Ed now spends time travelling and concentrating on developing his painting.
He has been involved with the West Bristol Art Trail for the past five years where card reproductions of his work have proved popular with visitors to the show.
His work has been accepted for the RWA annual exhibition on several occasions and he has also shown at the Bristol Guild and a number of galleries in both Bristol and Bath.
