In the last 2 to 3 years I have been looking for more opportunities to build a profile for my work.? These have included open submission exhibition opportunities such as the RWA Autumn Exhibition, where I exhibited my painting ?Kid? last year.
?Kid?, a figurative painting, is fairly unrepresentative of the bulk of my work.? Usually my work is abstract, where my fascination is with colour, pattern, mark-making and texture.? Recently I have been creating work where layered stripes of intense colour build to create a suggestion of landscape, architectural detail or natural forms.
I am fascinated and influenced by everything I see, but from time-to-time specific artists have had a huge impact on me.? These have included Lucio Fontana, Blinky Palermo and Henry Darger.
At West Bristol Arts Trail 2013 I will be exhibiting very recent work alongside work from the last couple of years.? Work will be for sale at a range of prices, with many items at ?5.00.? All the work is original and unique.
